Want to fly airplanes and get paid to do it? Then come see me to get your Commercial Pilot Certificate!
For as little as $8,950 you can earn your initial (single engine) Commercial Pilot Certificate! This training can be completed in 10-14 days, or on a schedule tailored to your needs.
This price covers all of the dual instruction requirements of the single engine commercial pilot certificate, and use of the airplane for your checkride. Pricing assumes that the student comes to me with their Private Pilot and Instrument Rating completed, their Commercial Pilot Knowledge test passed (I can assist with this endorsement), and the solo/non-dual instruction aeronautical experience requirements for the single engine Commercial Pilot certificate completed.
Costs can exceed the training package pricing if you haven’t completed, or have only partially completed, the aeronautical experience time building required for a Commercial Pilot. We can work with you to finish the flight hours for additional costs, detailed in the section below.
Prerequisites for starting the single engine Commercial Pilot Certificate training program are:
My Commercial Pilot training package is priced competitively because it is focused on the dual instruction and checkride preparation is required by the FAA. I realize that students are unique and that students come to me with unique training backgrounds and flight experience levels. Because of this fact, I price the training on the areas requiring instruction and checkride. We can then deal with the solo/non-dual instruction experience requirements on an individual basis as (or, if) needed.
Not having all of your time building requirements does not disqualify you from working with me on your Commerical certificate, but it will add time and costs to the pricing of the training package. Those costs are detailed in the Additional Costs section below.
NOTE: A student that's completed their Private Pilot and Instrument Rating will usually have a minimum of 90hrs of flight time counting towards the above requirements. You may have more depending on personal experience. I often see around 120-140 hours at this point for students.
As discussed above, our program covers the dual instruction requirements, checkride prep, and checkride time for the certificate/rating sought. We will complete the CFR 61.129 dual instruction aeronautical experience requirements and provide the additional services listed below:
In addition to our flight training, briefings, and debriefings, I provide access to FAA resources, links to informative training videos, and downloadable study guides/prep sheets as part of your training. Click the link below to go to the Commercial Pilot certificate Training Resources page.
Below are some of the additional costs you will, or may, be responsible for:
A deposit of $1,000 is required to schedule your training. The balance is due at the time training starts. If you have scheduled training and need to reschedule, I will be happy to move you to a future training date. I ask for 3 days notice so I can attempt to fill your slot with another student. In the event of no-shows or cancellations within 3 days of your slot, some or all of your deposit may be non-refundable. This will be dependent on circumstances and my ability to fill the slot you had originally scheduled.
The timeline for training depends entirely on the experience and skill level of the student. Once we've spoken and had a chance to review your flight background, a timely can be established for starting and completing your Commercial Pilot certificate. It can be done in as little as 7-10 days, or spread out over a longer timeline to suit your needs.
